The unique Safety Lock Mechanism disables the shredder to prevent accidental activation, ensuring that curious hands are kept safe. Located in the centre of the shredder head, the Safety Lock Mechanism also features as an emergency shut off, simply pull the lock back and the shredder shuts down instantly.
As Cool As Ice
The P-48C also features a thermal overload protector which stops the shredder temporarily when it senses it is getting too hot. Once activated, the shredder will shut down and a red light will advise you that this safety protector has activated.
No Sticky Situations
Built within the safety lock switch is a sheet capacity gauge which is measured to the cutter tolerance. This helps prevent paper jams by ensuring the cutters are not overwhelmed. Should the cutters ever become overwhelmed the P-48C features an electronic reverse mode to help remove the excess paper.
Fearless Shredding
As well as being able to handle 8 sheets at a time, the P-48C cuts each A4 sheet of paper into 320 pieces measuring just 3.9x50mm (DIN Level 3), virtually an impossible task to piece back together. At Fellowes we know that people shred twice as much as they think they do. This is why Fellowes have fitted the P-48C with a strong and robust motor that can shred non-stop for up to 5 minutes. Heads Up
The P-48C features an easy lift head, ensuring that waste disposal is as easy as possible with no strain on the user. Should you lift the shredder head whilst the shredder is running, a built-in safety mechanism activates and automatically shuts down the cutters until the head has been replaced securely back on the bin.

Costumer Evaluations
The dimensions are 36cm height by 36x26cm. It is a little larger than it could be but for me this is not a significant situation. The create quality is quite very good and it looks fashionable. The material is better than those entry models that are produced of low cost plastic.
It can shred staples and credit cards. The shredded paper size is 4x45mm.
It is fairly heavy but this is fantastic due to the fact it doesn't fall down if someone hits it accidentally though walking by.
There are some sharp blades that you can see when you take off the top from the case but it has a sensor that cuts off electricity when you open it.
The feeding section is 4mm wide and the blades are 45mm deep from the best which both add to the security if you have babies or kids at home.
There is also an on-off switch on the back side and a lock mechanism on best. The locking mechanism requires to press and push a button at the similar time to unlock it. I consider the locking mechanism could have been a lot more complicated. Most likely this will only avoid babies younger than 1 year old to unlock it due to the fact it is so straightforward to press and push.
When the heat is to substantially it turns itself off and there is a light that will tell you.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with the item.
Becoming concerned of the possibilty of identity theft I took the plunge and shopped for a shredder. The ones available on the high street all seemed too flimsy, too plastic, so I ordered this beast from Amazon. I would say this is superior you'ld find in a skilled workplace set up. It is considerably bigger than standard domestic shredders, definately heavier and particularly robust. The weight comes from the cutting blade and motor which obviously sits above the collection bin. The shredder has a lock on it to cease little hands becoming in a position to play around with it. Once switched on the unit begins automatically when paper is fed into the intake groove as soon as the job is carried out the unit powers off - awaiting the subsequent piece to be inserted. To me this is an exceptionally superior point as the cheaper shredders have to be manually began and stopped.
So, to conclude - a hearty recommendation. I didn't realise how considerably stuff we do essentially put by way of this and it is performance is superior than expected. It would have been rated at five stars had it not been for its slightly excessive size. It terms of superior and worth for dollars you won't be diappointed.
