The AS800CD is a great shredder to use at home and in a small office, the first thing to notice about the AS800CD is its attractive styling, 'high gloss' black and sleek lines have been used to create a visually appealing design that will look very smart in your home or office. We describe the shredder as having an 8 sheet capacity and by this we mean you can take 8 sheets of paper and shred them all in one go (based on 75gsm). The AS800CD cross cuts documents into small 5 x 47mm pieces which is very secure, it can also shred a single credit card at a time, and don't worry if you accidentally shred a paper clip or staple, this shredder will cope with both.
In addition there is a separate slot for shredding CD or DVD's, this separate shredding mechanism strip cuts the CD into 4 pieces destroying the CD, the separate shredding slot means that you don't have to put the CD through the slot intended for paper which should extend the life of your shredder. The large 16L waste bin will ensure that you don't have to empty it every 5 mins, and there is a large viewing window so you can see when it is full. The shredder itself has a built-in handle for easy removal and emptying, auto mode for shredding, a reverse option for clearing any jams, safety cut outs prevent accidental operation, and thermal cut outs protect your shredder from overheating.
Overall this is a very good home/office shredder that will perform well and look good, in addition the range of features available at this price point make the AS800CD excellent value for money.

I necessary a shredder to shred the typical household factors, like receipts and bank statements, and this does the job, whilst looking fine.
PROS:
- Sturdy and solid make. The head is rather heavy, but has an aesthetic deal with at the top rated to lift it from the bin
- Nice sleek style (does not appear "officey" at all)
- Shreds the paper into truly tiny pieces, which was a concern with a non-cross cut shredder. If I had hamsters, they would have a content household
- It handles numerous receipts paper at one particular go at a really good speed - I do not tend to feed it a lot at one particular go (just a private preference), but the heavy head surely has a manly enough shredder
- The new engine inside smells fairly nice when you to begin with commence using it
- It shreds CDs. It has a good guard on the CD shredder, too
CONS:
- I can't see any drawbacks to it correct now. It is specifically what I needed.
NOTE: When shredding bank statements (about four sheets), do not fold them, as this can give the shredder a bit of a difficult time. This is NOT the shredders' fault, as it clearly states that it can "only" take up to 8 sheets, which is actually great. I managed to temporarily jam it by feeding it a folded 4 sheet bank statement, but it was very easily resolved by pressing the Automobile and Reverse buttons.
Recieved this lately and i have to say i am rather pleased with my purchase, and i will look into obtaining significantly more for a few good friends who i know are in need to have of a relaiable shredder.
Firsty i consider it looks certainly nice - it has a extremely shiny black and silver finish which you can just about see in the pictures, in reality this looks even greater and its really eyecatching.
I have shredded all of the junk mail that had built up, and the shredder ate it all devoid of flinching.
It appears quieter than i had expected also, the deal with is a nice touch and tends to make emptying painless. I also like the separate slot for shredding CD's which should really shield the most important shredder while i haven't had have to have to shred CD's.
On the downside i guess the bin could be a little larger, but the viewing window enables you to see whats going on there - so honestly it's not an issue.
I'm a new client to Amazon and all i can say is that i am extremely impressed.
